I grew up learning to play the piano.
For me, this involved accompanying singers and other instrumentalists, setting up bands with my mates, playing in youth ensembles and writing my own parts if it meant I could take part, playing in the school shows and so on. Looking back, it was these experiences that set me up to become a musical director.
Since then I’ve been fortunate enough to have directed shows in many of the major venues in the North West as well as national touring productions. I arrange and direct music for bespoke projects and events, and have worked for production companies including the BBC, ITV and Channel 5. At the moment, you’ll also find me directing the Manchester Show Choir and partying with the Power Ballad Orchestra!
